Congratulations to all our umpires who gained levels and
badges during the 2010 season!
Senior Players
It is compulsory for all Willoughby United senior
players to pass the AANA umpiring exam. Each player is
required to umpire a minimum of two games throughout a
season. If you are interested in advancing your umpiring
skills, coaching is available on Saturdays.
REMINDER: please bring a whistle, hair band and be
there 15 mins prior to the game to sign on at the NSNA
Administration Room.
Levels
There is a badging system for higher level umpiring
with three junior and senior levels as well as three
National Badges. If you would like to achieve a level,
club officials will assess and grade your skills during
a Saturday game. Based on a sliding scale commensurate
with awarded levels, umpires receive payments for games
from the club.
Willoughby United has approximately 80 badged umpires
amongst current junior and senior players. If you would
like more information on levelling, please feel free to
see me at the courts on Saturdays.
Clinics
Senior clinics and junior Red Robins are run by
Northern Suburbs Netball Association throughout the
season. For dates and details please refer to
their website at

'U is for Umpiring' books and whistles can be
purchased through the club.
